If you think that Kaaboo Del Mar just might be your band's big break, then we regret to inform you that submissions for Kaaboo Discovers closed on July 14.

However, for the artists that made the submission deadline for this year's shot at the music festival, which goes down Sept. 13-15, the Top 12 finalists have been announced!

The following artists are up for a democratic vote, and the six winners from that vote will perform at the Kaaboo Discovers event at Quartyard on Friday, Aug. 16:

    • Avenue Army
    • Desert Suns
    • Disciples of Babylon
    • Electric Mud
    • Evan Diamond & the Library
    • Fooz Fighters
    • Jonny Dee
    • Kyle Smith
    • Luci
    • Rocket
    • The Sleepwalkers
    • Wyo
From there, a panel of judges will determine what "[t]wo winners will get the coveted chance to perform at Kaaboo ... alongside the previously announced music + comedy acts in the lineup, including Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, Mumford & Sons, Duran Duran and more," according to Kaaboo's website.
Last year, Sweet Tooth, who just played our latest SoundDiego LIVE party, won the final stop of Kaaboo's Discovery Tour.
Two or three other artists, including Ray Goren, won other stops along the "tour" and also got the chance to perform at Kaaboo, so it looks like the festival talent search has changed things up this time around.
Provided there's no Russian interference, each person only gets one vote to narrow the finalists down from 12 to six. Polls are open until Sunday, Aug. 4, so why wait? Vote here.
