Kaaboo Announces Comedy Lineup

Kaaboo's organizers have announced the comedy lineup for the 2016 festival

Make no mistake: Kaaboo is back.

Despite some recent (and unwarranted) rumors that the 2016 edition of the huge, three-day festival was in danger of not going forward, its organizers have gone ahead and announced Thursday an epic lineup of comedians scheduled to perform on the Kaaboo “Humor Me” stage – and effectively silenced the rumor mill.

On Sept. 16-18, when you visit the Del Mar Fairgrounds for the return of the biggest music/arts fest San Diego has seen in the better part of a decade (or maybe ever, really), you’ll be laughing along to such huge comedy stars as Dana Carvey, David Cross, Darrell Hammond, Jeff Ross, Janeane Garofalo, Doug Benson, Garfunkel and Oates, Natasha Leggero, Brian Posehn, and the entire cast of HBO’s hit series “Silicon Valley.” And those are just some of the acts they’ve snagged.

While last year’s comedy lineup was pretty stellar, it seems like Kaaboo’s definitely stepped their game up when it comes to humor. 2015’s comedians included Joel McHale, Lewis Black, Jeff Garlin, Tig Notaro, Tim Meadows, and Ron Funches. If laughing is your thing though (and how could it not be?), you simply need to be at Kaaboo, because bottom line, those are some of the biggest and most beloved acts in comedy right now.

Lest we forget, the festival's music lineup takes top billing and organizers shed some light into their 2016 edition a couple months back. Keep in mind, it’s only going to get bigger (much bigger) too: Jack Johnson, the Avett Brothers, Goo Goo Dolls, Gavin DeGraw, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness, and the Green have all been confirmed to perform at September’s fest, and that’s just the first wave to be announced.

Be sure to stay tuned to SoundDiego for anything and everything Kaaboo – we’ll keep you in the loop!
