Harbor Fest Brings Local Talent South

Catch Ignant Benches and Parker Meridien at Chula Vista's Harbor Fest on Aug. 18

There's still time. You might have missed Bad Kids' set, but if you hurry, you can still catch Ignant Benches and Parker Meridien at Chula Vista's Harbor Fest on Aug. 18.

Every year, the free family-friendly food, drink, arts and music festival features a day full of activities for all ages. And on three different stages from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Chula Vista's waterfront hosts dozens of different musical acts, from out of town mariachi outfits to SoundDiego garage rock and hip-hop faves.

The Bayside Park festival is brimming with food trucks and craft beer tables, as well as some professional wrestling (aka lucha libre), Xorbing (you know, those giant hamster balls), kayaking and other water- and land-based fun.

While the event is free, the Tacos, Spirits & Craft Beer and Wine Tasting sections cost around $20 to get into. Fortunately, it won't cost you a thing to see wunderkinds Ignant Benches perform on the Community Stage at 1:20 p.m. or San Diego hip-hop king Parker Meridien on the same stage at 4:30 p.m.

Head here for the full music lineup.

See you there!
