Guillotine Chops Heads on ‘Everything Is Everything'

Guillotine of Black Resume just dropped the video for his new song, "Everything Is Everything."

Black Resume is a promising young rap group that has been making a lot of noise since they appeared on the scene. Last year, they were nominated for two San Diego Music Awards, Best Hip-Hop and Best Hip-Hop Album, for their debut, Bar-Barian Music. Since then, they've been continuing to create music, play shows and expand their fan base.

"Everything Is Everything" is the first single off Guillotine's upcoming solo album, Trying to Get Ahead. Despite Guilla branching out on his own, the rest of Black Resume still represents hard here, along with their crew. The song itself, produced by Guilla, continues Black Rez's streak of creating club-ready music that still happens to bang hard, combining a melodic hook with hand claps and heavy, dirty synths (the muddy keyboard playing in the video is a nice visual touch). Guilla doesn't do anything but talk s---. Thankfully, he talks s--- really well, with slick turns of phrase ("Everybody wanna act like they got yo' back/ But it's a little different when the nachos stack") and witty punchlines aimed at fake rappers ("Him and all the amigos is eating Taco Bell/ Eating crunchy tacos the only time they be poppin' shells").

There is no release date yet for Trying to Get Ahead. However, you can keep up on Black Resume news and download their music by visiting the Black Resume Facebook Band Page.
