Reggae Star Freddie McGregor Talks Tech

Freddie McGregor was one of dozens of performers on Monday at the Tribute to the Reggae Legends festival in San Diego.

The reggae star recorded his first song more than 40 years ago at the age of 7. After dabbling in roots and culture reggae early in his career, McGregor’s strength now is lovers-rock reggae music. Now 54, McGregor is still performing and pulling in crowds with timeless classics, including, “ "Push Come to Shove,” “Big Ship” and “I See It in You,” all of which he played at the Valley View Casino Center earlier this week.

SoundDiego caught up with McGregor in his dressing room. Listen as McGregor talks about how the Internet and digital beats have affected album sales.
