Every Wednesday, thanks to our friends in the local music community, we share FREE music on SoundDiego with the Download of the Wednesday.
Today, we present "raw soul" supergroup -- and Bar Pink regulars -- the Styletones. Consisting of band members from Breakestra, Pocket, Conglomerate, Bad Credit and the Karl Denson Trio, the Styletones throw down "the energy of eight grown men, pouring all their joy, hopes, love and soul into songs, that will make you dance and feel good. Similar to a revival meeting or shamanistic celebration, the Styletones' unwavering commitment to the tenets of soul culture has inspired a following of beautiful, freedom-minded dancers, making each show ritualistic in nature."
The all-star cast includes Stevie Harris (vocals), Jake Najor (drums), Ben Moore (organ), Deron Gant (guitar), Andy Geib (trombone), Freddie Gonzales (trumpet) and Gabriel Sundy (saxophone).
