Bring Your Dancing Shoes for Dada Life

91x's Robin Roth picks Swedish electronic stars Dada Life to kick off this weekend in SD

Since Halloween falls on a Thursday this year, the parties will start this weekend and continue on through All Hallows’ Eve.
On Friday, LED presents Dada Land Compound, featuring Swedish electro house duo Dada Life at Valley View Casino Center. Also on the lineup are A-Trak, Caveat, Clockwork, Craze, Jacques Lu Cont, Michael Woods and TJR. This 18-and-up party goes until 4 a.m. and you can grab details here. Elsewhere, Liquid Geometry presents the Galactic Reign Tour at the Kava Lounge, Wobble hosts their third annual Halloween Ball at Spin Nightclub, and Ayla Simone is having her CD release party at Stingaree Rooftop.
Kick off your Saturday with the seventh Annual San Diego October Gaslamp Zombie Walk. The theme is Undead Heroes – be your favorite character from movies, cartoons, anime, comics, television or video games, and zombie it up! The event is free and starts at 5:30 p.m. at Children’s Park. Get more info here. That night will be costume-filled, with plenty of party options all over San Diego. Club Sabbat hosts their Night of Terror Party at Numb3rs.  Liquid Grey and I will be DJing in the front room, and celebrating my birthday. There will be cash prizes for the best costumes, and you can get more info here. The Hard Rock Hotel’s Rock with the Dead party will include three floors, with four venues and 15 DJs. There’s also Fright Night at Wavehouse, Monster Bash in the Gaslamp, and House of Blues' Halloween Block Party. My show pick is Emilie Autumn at Porter’s Pub. If I wasn’t DJing, that’s where I’d be.

On Sunday, New Found Glory and Alkaline Trio hit Soma, the Swiss/German duo Boy headlines at Porters Pub and Deer Tick and Robert Ellis play at The Belly Up.

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you with plenty of treats on the dance floor!
