Califone Dreamin'

Several great live shows pop off around town Sunday night

The last time Califone came to town, it was actually just a solo performance by Tim Rutilli, in the attic where Little White Teeth became a band. The sold-out house show was talked about and missing the performance just might be one of my biggest regrets of 2013. Tonight the Chicago-bred band performs at Soda Bar after releasing Stiches, which was included in many year-end top ten lists. Joined by their good friends, Little White Teeth, this is a great way to chill out on a Sunday as we prepare for the full work week ahead.

Sunday, January 5:

  • Casbah Presents: Califone, Little White Teeth @ Soda Bar
  • El Vez Punk Rock Revue, Schitzophonics, Diana Death @ the Casbah
  • An Evening with the Pettybreakers @ Belly Up
  • Blood Orphans, Doomzo Minions, Boss Tweed and the Laxatives @ the Che Cafe
  • Robin Henkel (10:00am), Reggie Smith (7:00) @ Humphrey's Backstage
  • Lightning Stars Fire, Savannah Philyaw @ Lestat's
  • Idyll Wild, Bells Atlas, Colocelot @ the Griffin
  • Jose Sinatra hosts O.B.-o-ke @ Winston's
