Automatic Pilot

If you love indie music, Sunday should prove to be quite a full day for you. Over at the Casbah, the venue is hosting a benefit for the Museum School featuring an acoustic set by the Silent Comedy (who will be playing at 4 p.m. because they triple booked Sunday), Rob Crow of Pinback,  Stephen Rey and Little White Teeth, featuring Phil Beaumont, who also happens to be the principal of the charter school. The show will be over in time to have a nice dinner before you head to the Belly Up for Blind Pilot. At press time, there were still a few tickets left to see the Portland band that stands out as one of the best indie bands around and has clearly pounded the pavement to earn every single fan, one by one. I have to admit that this is one of my personal favorites, and I melt whenever they take the stage. This just might be the best show in July, so I'd suggest grabbing a ticket while you can.
