There's something about the cooler air that lets you take a deep breath and feel like, "Ah, yes. This is the San Diego I know." And of course, the San Diego you know has music everywhere night after night, and Tuesday that includes a sold-out stop by Marc Cohn at the Belly Up. Even the "American Idol" kids are cruising through at Humphrey's by the Bay. But if you want to keep it chill, indie-rock trio the Velvet Teen perform at Seven Grand, while Tiki Tuesday is celebrated at Bar Pink with the Cheap Leis, and named as a "band to watch" in 2014, Florida pop band Sales headline Soda Bar. Let's not forget, however, that there is hip-hop in this town, and Tuesday is another Hip-Hop Battle Bot at the Casbah, hosted by 2015 San Diego Music Award nominee DJ Artistic, featuring Best Hip-Hop nominee Odessa Kane, both of whom won their categories at the 2014 awards. Lots of good stuff if you're looking for an excuse to hit the town on a Tuesday.
