It’s the most wonderful time of the year -- the month of October! Since Halloween falls on a Monday this year, the weekend before the actual holiday will be super busy. And between now and then, there are three weekends to pack in even more fun.
My picks for this Thursday night include Drop the Lime and the Juggernaut at Voyeur plus EDM with Dash Berlin at Fluxx. Since the venues are so close to one another, why not try to make both?
Friday night, the Black Unicorn Cabaret rides into San Diego for an all-ages show at Queen Bee's for A Villainous Vaudeville of Bawdy Burlesque, Music, Mischief and Mayhem, featuring Voltaire, This Way to the Egress, the Hellblinki Sextet and Girls! Girls! Girls! Three of the finest dark-cabaret bands are joined by local burlesque performers for a night not to be missed. I’ll be hosting the festivities, which run from 7 p.m. to midnight. For more info, go here. It will also be a dance party at 4th & B when CSS hits the stage. Plus, Chris Lake and Anthony Ross are at Voyeur.
Saturday, don your finest in dark attire and join me for another fun evening of Club Sabbat at the Flame in Hillcrest. It's San Diego’s classiest gothic, industrial and fetish event. I’ll be DJing in the main room, with Diskdroid and Atom keeping it old school in the back room. Angels & Demons Corsetry will be showcasing their wares on the back stage.
