Zuckerberg Slammed for Wearing Hoodie on Wall Street

Analyst calls it a "sign of immaturity"

Facebook stock is all the buzz in the tech world right now...and so is the CEO's wardrobe.

Wall Street analysts slammed Mark Zuckerberg for wearing a hoodie while meeting with investors in New York this week, ahead of the company's much-anticipated IPO.

"He's actually showing investors he doesn't care that much; he's going to be him," analyst Michael Pachter told Bloomberg TV. "I think that's a mark of immaturity."

Pachter goes on to observe that Zuckerberg should show a little more respect toward investors, because he is asking for their money.

Zuckerberg, however, has plenty of people on his side. Dave McClure, founder of 500 Startups, started the Twitter hashtags #LovetheHoodie and #HatetheGame. Others have compared Zuckerberg's casual style to that of the late Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who rarely strayed from his black turtlenecks and New Balance shoes.

So how will the investors view Zuckerberg's style? As a sign of disrespect? Or perhaps self-confidence? Only time will tell.

Facebook's IPO is set for May 18th.
