Steve Jobs Dreamed of Building an iCar

An Apple board member has revealed that Jobs had dreams about building an iCar.

In the few months since his untimely death, we've learned that Apple's Steve Jobs had aspirations for products far beyond personal electronics. Now J Crew CEO and Apple board member Mickey Drexler has revealed that Jobs had dreams about building an iCar.

At Fast Company's recent Innovation Uncensored conference, Drexler bemoans the state of American car design, and wonders where Jobs' fertile mind would have taken it.

While nobody really knows what an iCar might have looked like, it's easy to imagine how Apple's intuitive interfaces together along with Jony Ive's sleek design could have been a revolutionary step ahead of when Detroit churns out today.

I just hope that unlike this sketch by Franco Grassi, at least it would have doors.
