New “Drinking Mirror” App Shows Impact of Alcohol on Face

A new smartphone app plays on vanity to get people to stop drinking so much.

Put on your drinking face. Or, rather, recoil from it in horror and never touch another drop again.

A new smartphone app allows users to see what their faces would look like after the ravages of alcohol abuse take their toil, according to reports.

"Drinking Mirror" is a product of the government of Scotland, where officials evidently fear for their peoples' health enough to scare them.

Android and iPhone users can send in a photo of themselves and then see how "their faces might age if they continue to drink at their current rate," according to The Washington Post.

Among the health concerns associated with drinking are "weight gain, dull skin, wrinkles and red cheeks," the newspaper reported.
