Google Co-Founder Caught Wearing Project Glass Eyewear

You have to give Google co-founder Sergey Brin major props for having the balls to wear said geeky augmented reality glasses in public. They're real it's more clear than ever that Google is serious about Glass.

Not many thought Project Glass would be seen out in the wild so soon and from so high up in the chain of command at Google, but lo and behold, here are photos of Brin showing off his fancy glasses.

According to tech blogger Robert Scoble, Brin was at a dinner for the Foundation Fighting Blindness — wearing Project Glass of all things.

He quickly told me it is a prototype. I saw a bluish light flashing off of his right eyeball. I could only guess that my Google+ profile flashed up, or maybe some PR voice said "stay quiet" or something like that.

But the glasses are real. Very light looking. Most of the people around us had no idea that these glasses are pretty special.

Brin's a very easy-going guy. The fact that he would even wear a pair of prototype glasses out in public could be a hint that Project Glass is progressing along nicely.

That rumored release for later this year could still come true. We just hope that blinking bluish light doesn't destroy your eyesight quicker.
