A&E, Discovery Mull Palin Reality Show: Report

Sarah Palin has two networks vying to put her on reality TV, and the former vice presidential candidate wants as much as $1.5 million per episode, according to a report.

A&E and Discovery are interested in acquiring the show, tentaively titled "Sarah palin's Alaska," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Mark Burnett, the British TV mastermind behind "Survivor," "The Apprentice" and "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" is the executive producer of the Palin show.

A&E Networks has not made an offer for the project, according to THR, but is interested in getting it for one of its brands, A&E, History or Lifetime, the report said. Discovery could air the show on its signature channel or its TLC outlet.

Palin herself initially pitcyhed the show to networks. It would have her giving a guided tour of Alaska, visiting fishing boats and a gold mine, among other attractions.

"It will sell," THR quoted one insider saying. "One way or another."
