Timberlake and Diaz Reunite for Laughs

Love hurts, but Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are betting that a funny script can heal old wounds.

The former couple has signed on to yuk it up for the new movie "Bad Teacher." In a script treatment that most tabloid editors wouldn't even dare to dream about, Diaz will play a recently dumped middle-school teacher who sets her sites on the already-taken Timberlake.

Timberlake and Diaz have worked together on the "Shrek" movies, but as voices. This will be their first project where they both work on set. Shooting begins next month, according to Variety.com. Columbia pictures was very game to work with Timberlake after seeing his work in the upcoming "The Social Network."

The movie will also star Lucy Punch as Diaz's love rival, Jason Segal, SNL's Molly Shannon and "Modern Family's" Eric Stonestreet.

With this cast, it doesn't matter what kind of awkward moments there are -- if any --  between the two. The comic chemistry should be on full display. Timberlake and Diaz have worked together on the "Shrek" movies, but as voices. This will be their first project where they both work on set.
