Weekend Watch List: Cooking With the Bottom Feeders!

Welcome to Watch List, where we identify five things on TV to watch while you stay at home and drink pickle juice straight from the jar. LET’S GO!

FAMOUS FOOD – 10:00PM Sunday (VH1) You may have heard of VH1’s latest reality show, which assembles some of the most loathsome US Weekly staples in the world and challenges them to open a restaurant together. Included in this vile stew are Heidi Montag, Ashley Dupre (Eliot Spitzer’s hired gal), Jake Pavelka, and Vincent Pastore, who is doing everything he can to destroy the reputation of “The Sopranos." Also included in the cast is Meryl Streep, which I find somewhat odd. ANTICIPATION: Z-LIST!

PRIMETIME SPECIAL WITH DIANE SAWYER – 9:00PM Sunday (ABC) Diane Sawyer sits down with Jaycee Dugard for her first ever interview since being abducted by Phillip and Nancy Garrido and held captive for 18 years. In that time, Dugard was forced to bear Garrido two children and suffered incomprehensible trauma at the hands of her kidnappers. Something tells me two hours isn’t gonna be enough to cover all of this woman’s story. ANTICIPATION: HEARTBREAKING!

CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM – 10:00PM Sunday (HBO) Larry David’s brilliant sitcom returns for its eighth season, this time set in New York. Look out for guest turns from Michael J. Fox, Ricky Gervais, and surely plenty more. “Curb” has been around for so long now that it’s easy to take it for granted and get more excited over newer comedies hitting the air. But I watched last season and the show is as good as it’s ever been. And, with eight seasons under its belt, “Curb” is only one season away from having as many seasons as “Seinfeld” (though with fewer episodes per season). It’s better than “Seinfeld” was. It’s funnier. It’s ballsier. It’s more consistent. So tune in. ANTICIPATION: HIGH!

THE INDESTRUCTIBLES – 10:00PM Sunday (NatGeo – an NBC/Universal network) NatGeo‘s new series profiles folks who have survived seemingly fatal incidents, including helicopter crash victims and a pedestrian who was struck by an oncoming SUV. These people should all be on the lookout for Mr. Glass. ANTICIPATION: UNBREAKABLE!

TOUGH COOKIES – 10:00PM Sunday (Food Network) If you live in Jersey and you make food for a living, well then there’s a reality TV show waiting for you. Just take a look at a cookie shop in Ocean City featuring all kinds of cookiemakers with sassy Jersey ‘tude. ANTICIPATION: I GET IT--JERSEY IS TRASHY!
