No, that isn't a never-before-seen twist in the "Twilight" series. It's the real-life violence that took place in Rio de Janeiro recently that may cause filming of the last installment of the vampire franchise to be halted.
According to various internet reports, city officials are working to convince Summit Entertainment that Rio is safe for rolling. Meanwhile police are cautioning producers to rethink their schedule.
Production on "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" was slated to begin in the next few weeks.
"The possibility of filming portions of [the film] in Brazil has always been under consideration and we are continuing to scout locations within the country."
