Twitter Show's Brass Backs “S#*!” Title Despite Complaints

Despite being up against the crusading Parents Television Council (PTC), the executives at "S#*! My Dad Says" are standing behind their sitcom show's title.

In a move that has forced the creators to go on the defensive, and proper journalists to use synonyms, the PTC issued a warning about the show's title to 300 advertisers, according to EW.com

They urged the advertisers not to buy commercials on the sitcom because that would make them "complicit in the effort to serve up excrement in front of children and families."

The show title is written with the punctuation to blot out a common swear word and is actually meant to be pronounced "Bleep."

This has the PTC all riled up.

Don't these people watch prime television? There are so many other blatant violations of family value exploitation around them. Besides, the show features William Shatner and nothing is more family values than than this acting icon playing a gruff father who doles out salty wisdom.

Shatner naturally supports the harder title. No hiding it. "You know what I wish? I wish they'd call it 'Sh--,'" Shatner said recently.

Max Mutchnick, co-creator and executive producer of the show, said he is all about holding his ground.

"As a parent, it is my opinion that the Parent Television Council has much more important s--t to focus on that the title of a sitcom called 'Bleep My Dad Says,' " Mutchnick told the website.
