Director David Fincher, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin and their Facebook drama, "The Social Network," twice repeated on Sunday their New York Film Critics trifecta, taking Best Director, Screenplay and Film from both the Los Angeles Film Critics Awards and Boston Society of Film Critics.

There were no real surprises among LAFCA's selections, though it's nice to see that Jacki Weaver's Best Supporting Actress Award suggests she's a broad base of backers for her chilling performance as the matriarch of a Melbourne crime family fighting for its lifework in "Animal Kingdom." Let's hope it holds.

The BSFC, meanwhile, played it right down the middle, giving "Social Network" five awards, and two each to "The Fighter" and "Black Swan."
