NPH Angling for “Dr. Horrible” Feature Film Role

Neil Patrick Harris is hoping to land the lead in the full-length feature sequel to the monster web hit "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog."

"Apparently they're making a 'Dr. Horrible' sequel — a feature film, I hope," Harris told MTV. "I hope they cast me in it — we'll see."

For those who somehow missed it, "Dr. Horrible" was a 3-part, 42-minute long musical sprung from the minds of Joss Whedon, his brothers Jed and Zack, and Maurissa Tancharoe.

Starring Harris, Mate Fillion and Felicia Day, it told the story of Dr. Horrible, an aspiring super villain who winds up ensnared in a love triangle with the pretty redhead (Day) from his coin-op laundromat and his arch-nemesis, Captain Hammer (Fillion).

The biggest hurdle to getting the project underway are the busy schedules of the three stars, said Harris. He, of course, star on "How I Met Your Mother," while Fillion stars on "Castle," and Day has her own web series, "The Guild."
