Historic Goldwyn Beverly Hills Estate Hits The Market

The home of Oscar award winning producer Samuel Goldwyn Sr., is on the market for $39 million dollars.

Samuel Goldwyn Sr. commissioned the estate in 1934 with architect Douglas Honnold, known for the homes he built for legendary MGM art director Cedric Gibbons and his wife, movie star Dolores Del Rio, as well as for the Sunset-Vine Tower and the building that was formerly the home of the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills.

His son, Samuel Goldwyn Jr. grew up at the estate and went on to reside there as an adult. Between father and son, some of their memorable movie credits include: Arrowsmith, Wuthering Heights, The Little Foxes, Guys and Dolls, Porgy and Bess, Mystic Pizza, Preacher’s Wife, and Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

The estate is listed with Joyce Rey and Stacy Gottula of Coldwell Banker Previews International.
