Bridget Naso

Bridget Naso is an award-winning anchor and reporter with NBC7 San Diego.  She anchors weekend evenings with Omari Fleming. Bridget has been named one of San Diego’s 50 People to Watch by San Diego Magazine and is a recipient of a Health Hero Award from San Diego’s Combined Health Agencies.

Bridget has also served as NBC7’s military reporter since March of 2014 focusing on stories that impact San Diego’s military and veteran community. Bridget’s father was a Captain in the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton before serving in Vietnam. You can find her military coverage at NBC7.com/Military.

Bridget has been a broadcast journalist in San Diego for many years. She has covered from the anchor desk and the field some of the most impactful stories that have touched the lives of people here including the 2003 and 2007 wildfires. 

Her extensive coverage of military and veteran issues includes coverage of the military trial of Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher and the first landing at sea of the Navy’s F-35C Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter on an aircraft carrier.

By far the most rewarding part of being a journalist in San Diego for Bridget has been to meet so many people who have worked to make this community a better place.  Bridget has volunteered her time to benefit many local charities.

Bridget started her broadcast journalism career at KERO in Bakersfield, California. She then worked as a freelance journalist in Washington D.C. at WTTG before arriving in San Diego in 2000.

Bridget graduated from California State University, Fresno. 

Bridget enjoys yoga, writing, hiking and travel.  Her most recent travels have taken her to Amsterdam, Paris, and Barcelona.
