High Surf for Labor Day Weekend

If you have the weekend off, and you like to surf ... it's a perfect time to hit up the beach

National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory for Friday morning to Sunday afternoon, saying waves could reach up to 9 feet.

The ideal wave height, paired with a holiday weekend, should make for a good time at the shore.

But the waves could also bring rip currents, and swimmers should be on the lookout for dangerous conditions.

Low and high tides will also occur about 30 to 40 minutes later each day, and will gain a few inches of length.

NWS also said in a statement that the highest surf will be north of Camp Pendleton in the Orange County beaches.
