 Friday, June 29

San Diego Food Tasting and Walking Tour
12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Downtown San Diego

Discover the history about downtown San Diego and the taste of all the delicious foods in a three hour guided food walking tour. The “Bite Downtown” tour starts in the Gaslamp Quarter and will take you all through downtown reaching Little Italy as the final destination. Your guide will take you to 5 to 7 of the best restaurants America’s Finest City has to offer. The cost is $45 and more information can be found on the website.

Summer Sunset Luau at the Catamaran
6 p.m. at Catamaran Resort in Pacific Beach

Aloha, San Diego. The Pride of Polynesia will be entertaining guests for a Summer Sunset Luau at the Catamaran. The event will provide traditional foods, songs and dances to give thanks to their families, friends and guests from other lands and cultures. Saturday, June 30

The Kettenburg and Classic Yacht Regatta Event
12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at San Diego Yacht Club

Come sail away with the San Diego Yacht Club as they will be hosting a three day event for older classic wooden boats beginning on June 29 through July 1. Many of the boats were built at the Kettenburg yard here in San Diego. A portion of the proceeds will be benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego and the San Diego Maritime Museum. The three day event will include dockside cocktails, BBQ dinner, bay racing, presentations and an award ceremony.

1925 Silent Film Screening in Julian
5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Julian High School

The Julian Historical Society will present two benefit screenings of the 1925 silent film "Galloping On" directed by Richard Thorpe starring in the town of Julian. The film has been brought to us by internationally-known filmmaker Richard M. Roberts. The show times are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Julian High School. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Purchase your tickets in advance to get a good seat.

Sunday, July 1

Summer Concert Series at Paradise Point
12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Barefoot Bar & Grill

Hundreds of San Diegans are getting ready for summer and celebrating their Sunday "Funday" at Barefoot Bar and Grill.  The legendary waterfront bar celebrates their 50th anniversary every Sunday till the end of summer. Come down by the bay to experience the hype and energy from the 60s and 70s band and the classic films being played on the big screen. This is a free event.

Care ‘n Share Toy Drive
10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Del Mar Fairgrounds

Do you care to share? Bring your new or old stuffed animals to the Del Mar Fairgrounds to donate them to the Care ‘n Share Toy Drive. For those that are attending the fair that day and are professional prize winners, please help bring a smile to faces of children. The drop off for your donation will be located in the San Diego Pavilion next to Kiddieland in the infield.
