Homeowners don't have to knock down walls to create a brand new, fall-in-love again with your house appeal. From brighter tints for highlight to dark shaders to conceal, San Diego interior designer Brandon Neff says clients can make a huge impact on their homes and still remain within their budget.

Re-use, rethink, recycle. With just a can of spray paint and a few yards of fabric, his clients have transformed tired old dining room chairs to look like new. "Try switiching out old drawer pulls for stylish new ones on that old dresser for a modern update," says Neff.

Try some group therapy, he says. "Don't just scatter collectibles throughout your home. For a more tailored look group similar items in small collections-this will minimize visual confusion while allowing your prized pieces to get noticed."

Another tip to redecorate a room, "make it shine".  Stainless steel appliances are all the rage so if you can't replace, re-face says Neff. There are peel n' stick sheets that can be cut to size and applied directly over your old refrigerator or stove.
