Where to Watch: Team USA vs. England

    At long last, we have arrived at this long-awaited U.S. World Cup opener.

    The expectations are high as the U.S. faces England. Observers have been obsessively breaking down Team USA's chances of making a mark on the world stage.

    Kick off is at 11:30 a.m. after the Argentina v Nigeria match at 7 a.m. Here are a few spots to catch the game:

    The Field: Breakfast will be served until 1 p.m.

    D Street Bar and Grill

    Wit’s End Pub & Café: A brunch menu will be available during the game, as well as, 20 craft beers on tap.

    PB Bar & Grill: There will be $2.50 Karl Strauss Endless Summer Light all day.  Stick around for happy hour from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

    Tilted Kilt:$5 “Make your own Bloody Mary” bar (in pint glasses)
    $17 buckets of Budweiser and Bud Light bottles (five included)
    $10 Budweiser or Bud Light in shot
    $6 Corralejo tequila

    Nicky Rottens:

    $4 Firehouse Draft Pints

    Players Sports Bar: As the first sports bar in San Diego to have a 3D TV, they will be showing the World Cup games in 3D. Head over for breakfast and the match.

    Stout Public House: Breakfast specials and drink specials all day.

    The Gaslamp Tavern: Five or six World Cup grub specials
    $3 bud draft
    $4 mimosas
    $5 Bloody Marys
    $5.75 breakfast burrito
    “Manmosa”: orange juice spiked with orange vodka

    Henesseys Tavern:
    $30 Modelo 100 oz. beer tower with a "keep cold" to stay cool at your table.

    East Village Tavern and Bowl: Special World Cup breakfast menu and bar specials. By any chance you get some down time during the match, play some games of your own. There will be bowling all day.

    Shakespeare Pub & Grille: If you happen to be rooting for the team "across the pond," this British pub is the best place to do your cheering. There is a $10 admission charge for select games, which will be credited to your tab.
