Upscale Steakhouse to Open in Escondido

Upscale steakhouse Ruth’s Chris will run their 150-seat restaurant on the top floor of the “super-luxury” Lexus Escondido car dealership just west of Interstate 15, according to the NCTimes.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House, nationally famous for it’s sizzling prime steaks and long list of wines, will only add to the elegant atmosphere of the Lexus dealership and make it an even greater regional attraction than it already is.

It will be the first upscale steakhouse to hit Escondido, as well as the city’s most expensive restaurant. According to 2009 Zagat restaurant guide and NCTimes, a typical meal at Ruth's Chris costs $59 per person.

The restaurant will be a perfect combination with the three-story Lexus building, equipped with fountains, a library, a coffee bar, massage chairs, a golf simulator and other necessary amenities.

The dealership has been heralded as an attraction that will make Escondido and its auto park the top place in the region to buy a car. It includes a gigantic digital screen facing I-15 that flashes landscapes, colorful artwork and messages. The restaurant has a large veranda that features a view of the city, according to the NCTimes.

The dealership considered other restaurants for the third story location, but Ruth’s Chris surpassed all other restaurants.

The restaurant will not open until the end of this year or early 2011. Until then, we can only anticipate its arrival.
