It'll Cost $2,450 to Mingle With This Crowd

It's pricey... VIP dues are more than $2,400 a year.

The San Diego Sports Arena is getting a major face lift and a new exclusive club.

Next month, the San Diego Sports Arena will open "Club 3500".  It's part of a $2.5 million renovation. It includes new seats to the lower level, LCD televisions, new restrooms and an upgraded concourse design. Club 3500 is part nightclub, part sports bar and will have a VIP experience for shows and special events.

The members-only VIP club is pricey. The annual membership dues are $2,450, but will offer such perks as private parking, a separate entrance and bottle service.  Members will also have the option of buying up to four seats for each event.

It's all about exclusivity.

"(The club will) have an exclusive entrance to come in for parking, an exclusive entrance to come in for the actual venue, and exclusive access to the club where you can get everything from bottle service to carving stations," Sports Arena spokesperson Ernie Hahn said.

The club will also pay tribute to the 43-year history of the arena where Janis Joplin played twice, Elvis three times and Led Zeppelin seven times.
