Celebrate: North Park Festival of the Arts

The massive festival will take over University Ave. and 30th Street in North Park on Sunday, May 20

The 16th Annual North Park Festival of the Arts is happening Sunday in North Park and there will be plenty to see, eat and do at the daytime event.

The free festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at University Ave. and 30th Street – the hub of the North Park community.

The event will feature six stages of live entertainment including diverse bands, dancers and world music.

Since North Park is known for its creative art scene, more than 35 artists will display their masterpieces – from paintings to metal sculptures -- in the “Juried Arts Area” of the fest.

There will also be a special Kids Art Block set up for families with children.

Arts and crafts vendors and food booths will also line the streets, providing ample entertainment and browsing opportunities for attendees.

A Craft Beer Block set up along Ohio Street will feature suds from San Diego’s finest breweries. Tickets to the Beer Block cost $30-$35. That’s the only part of the fest that isn’t free.
