Whoever said La Jolla nightlife was dead was, actually right until now. Finally La Jolla has something to brag about in the nightlife department again. More than a year after Jack’s La Jolla shut it’s doors on Girard Avenue, San Diego is thrilled to welcome a revamped classic, Mike’s La Jolla, named after nightclub mogul, Mike Vicusco.
Like Jack's, Mike’s La Jolla will offer delicious fine dining, equipped with a piano bar and live jazz music. Unlike Jack's though, is a two-level nightclub featuring outdoor fire pit cabanas. Another new feature? Drinks are promised to be affordable! What? La Jolla, that is so unlike you. There will be nightly specials and a casual dining area with $10 to $15 plates, as well as an on-site coffee shop and bakery—open late for starving party-goers.
Another ongoing happening will be nightly entertainment. Look forward to live music, DJs, fashion shows and rotating special events on the regular. The Grand Opening is on October 31, 2010. Yep, that’s right, Halloween. Don’t get spooked. Put on your scariest costume and call it a date.
