Gaslamp Offers Irish Fare for St. Patty's Day

What's a boxty?

While corned-beef hash might come to mind, try a boxty this St. Patrick’s day. A boxty is basically a potato pancake that is cooked and wrapped around chicken, meat, fish, or veggies. Find it at places like The Field on Fifth Avenue and Dublin Square Irish Pub & Grill on Fourth Avenue.

Start off the night right at The Field with a Guinness beef stew and Sheppard’s pie before the ShamROCK St. Patrick’s Day Festival.

Try Irish nachos at Dublin Square. Imagine fries topped with cheddar, mozzarella, blue cheese, Irish bacon, green onions, tomatoes, and sour cream.

Brian’s 24 Restaurant Bar & Grill is also getting in the spirit. Located on Sixth Avenue, they offer a special St. Patrick's menu. Start the day with corned-beef hash and eggs.

Drop in for lunch or dinner and enjoy a half-pound corned-beef sandwich on rye bread or corned-beef Reuben or shepherd's pie. Wash it down with an Irish coffee or whiskey fizz.
