Looking for something to do with the family this weekend? A free festival in Barrio Logan has you covered.

The 7th Annual Fiesta del Sol street festival is happening Saturday and Sunday at Cesar Chavez Park located at 1449 Cesar E. Chavez Pkwy.

The two-day, family-friendly fest celebrates the history and diverse cultures of the people of San Diego, with special focus on creating positive change by empowering communities.

The event will feature live musical performances, art demonstrations, hundreds of vendor booths and, of course, a Fiesta del Sol Flash Mob.

Additionally, certain sections of the festival will be dedicated to healthy living, civic participation and education. Several booths will provide information about colleges, adult education, technical schools and alternative education groups. A small business and entrepreneurship area will also feature informational workshops.

More than 75,000 people are expected to attend this year’s Fiesta del Sol.
