Deborah Scott's Hot Wings Recipe

One of the biggest names in San Diego's culinary scene shares her secret for a delicious Super Bowl wings recipe.

Deborah Scott and her crew at Island Prime give you the relatively easy, step-by-step process to make a range of chicken wing dishes for your Game Day party.

Double Hot Wings
Place one pound of chicken wings in a large-sized zip lock bag
Add 1/2 cup blackening spice to bag
shake really well to coat all the wings
Bake wings at 375 degrees for 25 minutes
Once the wings are done cooking, toss with 1/2 cup Cryustal Hot sauce

Double Hot Wings Sauce
1 cup Blue cheese dressing
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Pinch of sugar
Pinch of salt
2 oz chopped basil
3 oz honey
Add all to bowl and mix well

Mild Savory Wings
1 cup reduced balsamic vinegar (at most grocery stores now)
1 cup of dry red wine
Combine both in sauce pot
Cook over medium heat for approx 10 minutes
Once a little syrupy, it's done
Add a touch of salt and fresh ground black pepper
Pull off heat and toss with cooked wings to coat well

The sauce for more Mild Wings has a touch more heat:
1 cup of Ranch dressing
2 each roasted and peeled Jalapenos diced up fine
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of white pepper
