Beerfest Comes to Petco Park

Dozens of beers will be flowing at Park at the Park

Baseball and beer, it almost seems like a match made in heaven. Padres fans who love San Diego’s thriving craft beer scene will want to check out the third annual Beerfest at Petco Park on Friday, June 1 before the Padres game.

Dozens of beers will be flowing at Park at the Park, including some of San Diego’s finest brewers. Places that will be serving up their finest suds include:

  • Karl Strauss
  • Green Flash
  • Rock Bottom
  • Mission Brewery
  • Lost Abbey
  • Coronado Brewing Co.
  • Stone Brewing Co.
  • New English

Green Flash will be pouring its award-winning beer Le Freak, which won the bronze medal at this year's World Beer Cup, aka: the Olympics of beer.

A DJ will be spinning some tunes will patrons sip some of San Diego’s finest. Beer aficionados will also be happy to note that a few members of Broken Lizard, the comedy group featured in the 2006 film "Beerfest," will be in attendance at the event. The group will be signing merchandise, and likely enjoying a brew or two.

Admission to the event is free with ballgame tickets for the Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks. The first pour is at 5 p.m. and each taste is $5. Pours will end at the first pitch of the game at 7:05 p.m.
