FOOD OF THE GODS: Has that sweet tooth of yours been nagging you lately? Well give in at a hands-on chocolate class at Dallman Confections. This level one class will teach you everything about chocolate--from the raw bean to the chocolate bar. You will also learn how to make ganache, infuse teas, herbs and spices and decorate a chocolate ball. After you’ve wiped the drool from your mouth, register here. The class is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
CAN YOU SAY SAKE BOMBS?: Join Japanese beer and sake lovers at the Beer and Sake Festival taking place at the Del Mar Marriott hotel. Accompanying your brews will be some delicious traditional and contemporary beer and sake pairings, along with all-night entertainment. Last year over 700 people showed up to drink, eat and be merry. The cost is $40 to $60. It all starts at 6 p.m.
YOU ROLLER SKATE LIKE A GIRL: That’s a compliment as far as we’re concerned and the Battle on the Bank III will prove it to you. This three-day roller derby tournament will consist of eight teams battling it out for one championship. It takes place on June 25, 26 and 27 at 4 p.m. and other various times. Admission is free with your ticket to the Fair.
