TAKE A SEAT: Motorcyclists don't always wear chaps, and hopefully neither do you. A better option is to slip on these Zipper Moto Skinny Jeans ($99) from Bebe in Fashion Valley Mall. The distressed wash gives a well-traveled look to a slim silhouette and ankle-length hem, and stitching above the knee brings interest without going overboard. Keep an eye out for these and others like them as a hot fall trend, biker or no.

KICK STAND: Black and silver are sort of gratuitous nods to motorbike fashion, but there are lots of ways to pull them off without looking costume-y. Calvin Klein's Beyna pumps ($118) are black suede heels with wide, grommet-laden ankle straps that look edgy and feminine all at once. Pick them up at Macy's in Fashion Valley Mall.

TO THE BONE: The devil is in the details, and small trinkets can bring some tough-guy (or girl) elements to even the most conservative look. Take San Diego designer Jcvillalon's silver skull charms with sparkly jeweled eyes ($70), for example. Smaller than a penny, they'll sparkle and shine on any chain while subtly showing your inner badness. Check them out on his Etsy shop.

REBELLIOUS SPLURGES: For those who don't mess around with their leather wear, indulge in the hot, structured Leather Motorcycle Jacket from Alice + Olivia ($794) at Neiman Marcus, or get ready to back up some serious cocktail party statements with Balmain's Quilted Leather Skirt ($8,915) at Net-a-porter.com.
