    Humphreys Concerts By the Bay

    Even though summer is almost over there is still plenty of fun summer things to do in San Diego. There is something for all music lovers, food grubbers, and entertainment chasers.

    Friday, July 27

    Mission Hills Concert in the Park
    6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at San Diego Zoo Safari Park
    It’s summer time in San Diego, so a few businesses of San Diego present free concerts in Pioneer Park in Mission Hills. The community is planning 10 summer concerts this summer to carry on the Mission Hills tradition. Grab your blanket and chairs to come listen and enjoy the entertainment in the park.

    Opening Ceremony Party on USS Midway
    6:30 p.m. at 910 N. Harbor Dr.
    Watch the Olympics Opening Ceremony aboard the USS Midway, which will air the festivities on two large screens on deck. Olympic trainers will be onboard to teach kids about a few sports of the London Games. Also, a real Olympic torch will be on deck for people to photograph.

    Saturday, July 28

    iMAN 2012

    7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hard Rock Hotel San Diego
    The 3rd annual iMAN event at the Hard Rock Hotel will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Come experience a special performance by the Chargers girls and hosted bar from 7 to 8 p.m.

    Gourmet Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival at the Del Mar Racetrack
    12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Del Mar Racetrack
    Thousands of San Diegans are making their way to the racetrack to enjoy some of the hottest SoCal flavors at the track. There will be more than 50 trucks to serve some of the best foods that San Diego has to offer. Admission to the food truck is included with admission to the races. There will be lots of food so don’t miss out on this festival of fun. Visit the Del Mar Racetrack website for more information.

    2012 San Diego Blood Bank 5k Walk/Run
    8 a.m. at Embarcadero Marina Park North
    The annual run/walk encourages people to donate blood for those in need. Families can bring their kids to the "family fun zone" for children-appropriate activities and prizes will be award to the top fundraisers at the event.
