Vintage Prom, Still in Style After All These Years

May is here, which means only one thing to high school students across the country--it’s time for prom. After graduation the high school fairytale fantasies--of a night to remember filled with romance--disappear, but maybe they don’t have to.

The Pearl Hotel, Urbanist and the San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation have teamed up to host Vintage Prom--where guests of all ages are encouraged to attend. One of the most important elements of any good prom is the theme. This theme is a blast from the past--with more than a touch of vintage glamour added in. The event will be a celebration of prom nights from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.

May is more than prom month for high school students across the country; it is also Brain Tumor Awareness Month. By purchasing a ticket to the Vintage Prom--you will be buying more than admission to the glam event--you will also be supporting the San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to helping patients and families that have been impacted by brain tumors.

Don’t forget to order those limos, pick up those corsages and set those dinner reservations because Vintage Prom is Friday May 7 from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at the Pearl Hotel. Tickets can be purchased pre-sale for $25 per couple or $15 for singles--at the door tickets will be available for $35 per couple and $20 for singles. Ticket includes two drink coupons for adult punch and two raffle tickets.

In true prom fashion attendees should dress to impress--think glamorous decade inspired vintage gowns and suits. It wouldn’t be prom without a King and Queen, so stop by and see who is crowned this time around.

Instead of renting a prom classic like, "She’s All That", "American Pie", "Never Been Kissed" or "Pretty In Pink" to reminisce about those good ole prom days, stop by the Pearl Hotel for a second prom celebration.
