Local and nationwide businesses are saying "thanks" this Veterans Day with deals for military members. Stores are offering discounts, restaurants are offering free food and local theme parks are even getting in on the fun with free admission. Here is a list of ten can't-miss discounts for active duty military personnel and veterans to take advantage of.
10) The Gaslamp Quarter is offering up some sweet deals for active and veteran military members on Nov. 11. Participating locations include Bandar, Hard Rock Cafe, Stingaree and Lucky Jeans. Just show your military ID and these deals are yours.
9) Take a ride around town, Old Town Trolley Tours has complimentary admission to all veterans with ID on Nov. 11.
8) Westfield Horton Plaza and Ace Parking are partnering together to offer free all-day parking to anyone who has served in the United States Armed Forces on Nov. 11. Present ID at any staffed parking exit before 10:00 p.m.
7) Looking for lunch or dinner? Applebee's is providing free entrees for veterans and active duty military personnel with ID on Nov. 11.
6) Active duty and veterans can join Uno's for a free entree or individual pizza with entree or pizza purchase on Nov. 11.
5) Active duty military personnel get complimentary daytime admission year-round aboard the USS Midway Museum.
4) All veterans and active duty military will receive a free Bloomin' Onion and beverage from Outback Steakhouse with proof of military service.
