San Diegans looking to adopt a new pet can do so on the weekend of May 19-20.

The Rescue House, a local non-profit organization dedicated to finding loving and caring homes for unwanted, abandoned or abused cats, will be holding its big May Cat & Kitten Adoption Fair at the PETCO store at 11160 Rancho Carmel Drive in Carmel Mountain.

Approximately 60 cats will be available for adoption from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

According to reps from The Rescue House, there will be cuddly cats and kitten of all ages, personalities and colors at the adoption event.

Each cat has already been spayed or neutered, tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped, dewormed and de-flead – ready for a new, loving, lazy life in a permanent home.

For more information about the big cat adoption fair or to donate to The Rescue House, visit the organization’s website.
