One couple will be swinging their way to $5,000.

The single biggest “top cash prize” swing dance competition is taking place at Viejas Casino in Alpine and anyone can enter for free.

David Patrone Productions and Viejas Casino is hosting a swing dancing competition with $10,000 up for grabs for the next few Sundays. Couples may compete in any number of nine weekly qualifying rounds in order to advance to the semi-final round held on March 21st, according to the event Web site.

The first place couple will take home $5,000. The second and third place couples will win $3,000 and $2,000 respectively.

The top two couples from each of the qualifying rounds will move on to the semi-finals and each weekly winning couple will receive a cash prize.

Of the 20 couples in the semi-final round, only 10 couples will be chosen to move on to the final round held on March 28th, where they will then battle it out for the cash prizes.

Registration is free and begins at 4 p.m. on every Sunday of the competition. There are also free swing dance lessons every Sunday at 5 p.m.
