Street Scene Solidifies Lineup

Public Enemy added to Saturday show

Reeling from the loss of the Beastie Boys, organizers added another major name to Street Scene and solidified the festival's two-day lineup.

The Beastie Boys pulled out of the two-day festival (Aug. 28-29 in downtown) on July 20, when Adam Yauch announced he had cancer in his parotid gland.

The band was a late addition -- tickets went on sale in June and the Beastie Boys signed on in the second week of July -- to Street Scene, which is celebrating its 25th year in 2009.

Four days later, Street Scene added Public Enemy to Saturday's lineup, joining such other big names over the two days as the Black Eyed Peas, Cake, Busta Rhymes and MIA. In all, there are 45 acts over two days performing on five stages.

Fans can now buy single-day tickets for $65 in addition to the two-day passes, which are now available for $122.
