Looking for a way to celebrate your Irish heritage? Then ShamRock 2012 St. Patrick’s Day Festival in the Gaslamp is the place to be.

The annual party will recreate a 150-foot Irish pub on the streets of the Gaslamp by using over 80,000 square feet of Astroturf. Organizers boast it will be an epic version of the hills of Ireland.

There will be three stages of live entertainment featuring artists the Young Dubliners, Irish Rock, Irish Punk Rock and others.

The 17th annual celebration, scheduled for Saturday, March 17 from 2 p.m. to midnight, will take place between 5th and 7th Avenue, between E and G Streets.

Advanced tickets are $35. You'll pay $40-45 at the door.

Wristbands into ShamRock will secure your privileges in and out of the festivities.

There will be no cover for food and dozens of participating restaurants and nightclubs plan to offer specials.

This is a 21 and up only event.

Hosted by Jameson Irish Whiskey and The Field, organizers said all proceeds will benefit the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation.
