Wine, Waves & Beyond: If you're a fan of Central Coast vinos, you're in luck. If you're a surf scholar, you're in luck. If you follow both, chances are very good you're reading this from Pismo Beach, where Wine, Waves, & Beyond unfurls over the June 3-6 weekend.
Highlights: The Barrel to Barrel tasting at the perched-above-the-Pacific Cliffs Resort (beer is part of the evening in addition to wine). The surf movie night in nearby San Luis Obispo. A Brewmasters Dinner is on the schedule, and, naturally, a longboard competition adjacent to the famous Pismo Pier.
VW Bus Display: Part of the longboard competition on Sunday, June 6. Got to have your VW on the coast.
The Cliffs Resort: There's a package going that includes breakfast each morning for two and Barrel to Barrel tickets. Packages begin at $559. We checked in with the hotel and there are just a few rooms left for Friday, but they said to inquire about single-night rates.
