An oldie but goodie is returning to the San Diego Zoo.

The Conrad Prebys Polar Bear Plunge is set to open next month. The newly renovated exhibit at the San Diego Zoo will provide visitors fun, fascinating, hands-on ways to experience what a polar bear's life might be like in the arctic, the Zoo's website said.

Some new features of the new plunge include over-sized storybooks which reveal fun facts about polar bears, a measuring up area in which visitors can compare their height, weight and eating habits to polar bears, an experience wall where visitors watch trainers interact with polar bears through wire mesh, as well as three-dimensional maps of Hudson Bay to demonstrate how the Arctic Ice has changed.

Polar Bear Plunge is set to open March 26, 2010. Visit the San Diego Zoo website for more details.
