    Remembering a Young Life Lost to Tragedy
    Melissa Porter, 25, was exiting I-805 at Clairemont Mesa Boulevard when her truck crossed lanes of traffic, struck a parked tractor trailer and caught fire. Porter died at the scene.

    Come party with a purpose and celebrate the life of Melissa Porter, the 25-year-old whos life was tragicially cut short in a fiery car crash. Stingaree nightclub in the gaslamp is hosting the "Melissa Porter Benefit and Celebration" Tuesday night at 8 p.m.

    A portion of the proceeeds will go to her family during this difficult time. Also, donations to YSRPP (Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program) and SOSL (Survivors of Suicide Loss) will be made on Melissa's behalf. She became involved with these two organizations after the loss of her father to suicide in 2000.

    There is a $20 recommended donation at the door, which includes one drink ticket and one raffle ticket. There will be a silent auction and raffle prizes. You can also make donations through paypal on the Bar West website.
