One of the most popular Broadway productions is back at Lamb's Players Theater: Godspell. You've probably heard of Wicked, Working, or Pippen; but before all of these hits, Stephen Schwartz wrote Godspell. This time, it features a multi-ethnic cast and an impressive band.

Godspell tells a wonderful story in a style that blends "commedia, vaudeville and even Saturday Night Live-esque shtick."  The music also ranges from cabaret to pop to reggae, blending together to create a hit!

The lead in the play, Lance Arthur Smith, moved down to San Diego from Los Angeles to get involved in the thriving local theatre community.

"There are a multitude of theatres down here that consistently do good theatre. There are some great big houses like the Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse and Lamb's Players, and then there are some smaller theatres like Diversionary and many more. They're all just packed with talent and packed with artistic teams," said Smith.
