The unofficial start of the holiday season is upon us with the largest parade in San Diego County.

Join thousands of spectators as they line the streets of El Cajon the Sunday before Thanksgiving for the Mother Goose Parade on Sunday, Nov. 20.

Started 65 years ago, the Mother Goose Parade began as a project by a group of El Cajon businessmen. The men wanted to provide a gift to the “Children of East County” by putting on a parade that would be loved by kids and adults alike.

More than 100 parade entries from across the country will be a part of the special event this year.

Motorized floats, marching bands, drill units, performing artists, giant helium balloons and more will be rolling through the East County throughout the day.

The Mother Goose Parade will begin at 10 a.m and for more information, visit the Mother Goose Parade website.
